Special Olympics Volleyball Tournament (Freshman Volunteers and Student Leaders)
Each year in the fall, LHWHS hosts the Special Olympics Volleyball competition for more than 150 athletes. Participating athletes benefit from the social interaction that comes from competing in a team sport, as well as the training that enables them to successfully serve and return a volleyball. None of this would be possible without the help of around 250 Ladue freshman volunteers who work as buddies to the team members. Volleyball participants include qualifying students from LMS and LHWHS.
