Five Things Every Parent Needs to Know about Heroin and Drug Use in High School
Monday, April 18 - 7pm
Ladue Performing Arts Center (PAC)
Heroin and prescription drug abuse is a growing problem among teens in the St. Louis area. Join us for a presentation led by a National Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NCADA) public awareness specialist.
Following the NCADA presentation there will be a 30-minute Q&A session with a panel to include:
- NCADA Spokesman Brandon Costerison
- Dr. Kelly Ross, a high school parent and St. Louis Children's Hospital pediatrician
- LHWHS School Counselor David Tabscott
- a Ladue parent whose family has been affected by drug addiction and rehabilitation.
We hope you will join us for the important event. Any questions, please contact committee chair Elizabeth Cobin at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Also, please mark your calendar for the DEA National Drug Take-Back Day on April 30. Safely dispose of expired or unused prescription medications in your home. Check here for information on collection sites in your area.
